Marauder of Chaos!

Well today I wanna write something about Marauder of Chaos class, my favorite and as I see it, most awesome class ever was in MMO. What is so superior in these Warhammer Online class? Well he will be amazing in combat and has outstanding attack skills, with powerful mutation. I have already heard about ability, where you will be able to invade your enemy by very dangerous mutated thingy and pull opponent to you ;-) so when someone is hiding and running you will be able to do something like Scorpion in Mortal Kombat > get over here ;D.

It’s very dangerous if someone really good is playing as Marauder. Of course gameplay is much different than Orc Choppa – Choppa is mighty dps class but without any support is worthless. Marauder is far more undependable and still very nice while playing aside with Choppa. Of course you can switch your Marauder to AoE type of damage, or single-massive dps. I prefer to enjoy single-dps as hunter killer. I think Marauder is just born to eliminate healers, or Bright Wizards. With his dangerous embrance he can pull almost everyone into his lethal claws! Oh yeah, Warhammer Online without Marauder would be really bad. Of course he is dying often if you don’t really know how to play this career, but after some time and training, you should enjoy everything related. As a player I’m looking for splendid materials, about popular careers, including Marauder, but some of information are really hard to get.

What can I say more about this class? This skill is really stunning, but without very powerful attacks, pulling your enemy would be like suicide ;-)…Marauder will be really great warrior, his strong side is really massive amount of damage in very short period of time, but his weakness is small amount armor and without healing he is just first to die. He is very dangerous in attack so he is number 1 target for all, including these scary Bright Wizards…well as a Marauder you must really take care of yourself…He is powerful, he is quick, he is very valuable as a dps if you have him in your team. He has also very dangerous impale ability – this way he can really do a mess to any enemy.

WAR online

Welcome, Welcome! Ready for more about online war games? Not really because it’s blog about war! I would like to tell inform you about ten basic things about one of the most popular MMORPG – War Online. It’s really interesting, maybe even you change your way of playing ;) .

{1} WAR (from Warhammer Age of Reckoning) is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) with universe taken from Games Workshop’s Warhammer Fantasy setting. These fantasy settings have around 26 years and have been made as Warhammer Fantasy Battle – table top game.

{2} Like in other MMORPG you major objective is to evolve your in-game avatar. To achieve this quest, you can do plenty things, such as questing, fighting with other players or just gain experience points and War Online.
{3} In WAR official currency is gold, just like in World of Warcraft or Lord of the Rings Online. Play can earn gold by finishing tasks, selling items on Auction House. Best way is to earn some War Online through Auction House business – simplest and most profitable.

{4} In WAR, player can pick between two sides of the conflict, Forces of Destruction Chaos, Orcs & Goblins and Dark Elves and with Forces of Order, with Dwarves, Empire and High Elves.

{5} In game you can select between twenty-four careers (classes), like Orc Choppa, Bright Wizard, Warrior Priest, Marauder, Chaos Chosen, Engineer or Swordmaster. Most fashionable career is…goblin shaman but it’s not online war game!

{6} War Online features Mythic’s RvR fighting system, taken from Dark Age of Camelot. This MMORPG, was first game online game made by Mythic. In addition to visual character customization, Warhammer features an achievement system, pretty looking alike to that which is implemented in Steam. As achievements are unlocked, we may apply custom titles that show up beneath their names.

{7} WAR features a “Tome of Knowledge” (ToK) that is an extension upon similar mechanisms in plenty other MMOs. ToK is saving your every in-game move. It’s like Big Brother!

{8}WAR bought 1.2 million customers and had 800,000 registered users, but todays are around 300,000 subscribers as of the end of March 2009. When this period expires, the fallen players receive increasing support from NPC guards until they are able to force the invaders out of their town and close the gates.

{9} All activities in War Online contribute to the campaign, as it is the primary concentration of the game. Each of the aforementioned activities creates Victory Points (VP) which measure a realm’s progress in capturing a particular region like in online war games.

{10} War Online: Age of Reckoning, acquired more than 25 awards like, Ten Ton Hammer Editor’s Choice Award , IGN PC: 2008 Reader’s Choice, GameSpy: Best of E3 2008. War Online has awesome player vs player features and extreme amount of other online content.

Rumors about patch 1.3.6

Welcome all on my Warhammer Blog. I’m really sorry but I’m very busy these days and I can’t write to often about WAR. My subscription has ended and I need to wait few months to renew it. I need to travel somewhere or have a longer break from work and everything or I just collapse, having hear attack. Anyway I found some time to write down small post about latest Warhammer Online patch 1.3.6. According to latest producer’s letter, in WAR patch 1.3.6 we will witness few cool and needed changes.

1 st thing I would like to talk is new option to change appearance of armors, to “have both the stats and look without being relegated to whatever appearance we set, simply because of the associated power”. This way our shiny armors will be more customizable – for our glory of course!

Also in Warhammer Online Patch 1.3.6, Mythic will introduce a fresh feature, called “Against All Odds”, special rewards incentive program that will reward outnumbered armies within an RVR lake by offering a scaling bonus to renown and experience up to 400% for the outnumbered side. This way probably a lot more player will engage in all various types of ORVR, especially when the odds are stacked against them. I think is very good idea and should help revive ORVR, maybe not revolutionary but still it’s step in right direction.

What else? Well, Mythic dudes are working also on few changes at ORVR (Open Realm vs Realm). Their goal is to get players back into ORVR and they want to make it happen by changing “removal of VPs for PVE and Prior Tier, which will be reallocated to Objectives, Scenarios, and Skirmish”. I got also horrified information for all brave as usual, MAILBOX fighters, guards or warriors etc, who love to stand at Warcamp waiting for zone lock! “While gamers who have died recently and are re spawning in the warcamp will still acquire zone capture rewards, the idle defenders of the mailboxes will not.” So no more standing and leeching other player’s effort! Fight or no renown points!

Last but still awesome thing is change related to the most powerful Sovereign armors, making a major addition to armor sets by adding an armor reforge system for these superb items. Sovereign armors will continue to drop in the current fashion and at the same rates, but developer team will be introducing merchants that contain alternate focuses for the Sovereign armor pieces. The cost of the all new items will simply be the cost of the old ones. Well I thinks it’s all about 1.3.6. Now I’m waiting for expansion for Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. Without expansion this game will surely die. No doubt about that.

Warhammer Land of the Dead

Welcome. Today I would like to write more about Warhammer Online Land of the Dead, free update. It was first this kinda of expansion released for WAR. First of all this new zone is contested between Order and Destruction – each side is gathering resources and when they collect enough, they lock Land of the Dead for 30 minutes and can travel there. After 30 minutes, zone is contested and each side of the conflict is competing to capture once again Lotd.

In Land of the Dead we can find large territory with 5 instances and around 15 public quests. There are 4 instances where you can enter to fight lesser mobs and 1 large instance called Tomb of the Vulture Lord with 8 mobs and Vulture Lord on the end. Most powerful items in Land of the Dead are Tyrant item sets for each class available from toughest mobs.

Of course you need to farm many times this Tomb to get these items, I talked about that with some players that where around 30 times in Tomb of the Vulture Lord and they got 3-4 parts of Tyrant item set. Is it worth? Hard to tell, I’m playing in Player vs. Player all the time. Player vs. Environment is dull as hell…

WAR 1.2 Scheduled for Tomorrow Morning

Welcome friends! According to official Warhammer Online website, all servers will be updating to WAR 1.2 tomorrow morning. Final patch notes to come in the morning. “Greetings! 1.2 will be going live tomorrow morning, 3/3/09. All North American servers will be brought down at 7:00 AM EST with Oceanic servers to follow at 9:00 AM EST. We expect all servers to be back up and running by 1:00 PM EST. As always be sure you check the Herald for the latest information and updates during downtimes. We will update this message in the morning with a link to the final 1.2 Patch Notes. “

WAR Fiction – A Fistful of Choppas

Welcome friends! Well, I found very interesting stories on WAR Herald – 2 new fictional stories related to WAR’s new careers the Slayer and the Choppa have been added to the WAR Herald. For the Choppa fans out there, we have Mike Lee’s “A Fistful of Choppas” and for you Slayer followers, we have Nathan Long’s “Grimnir’s Paradox”.

New Patch 1.2

Welcome again friends, well we are very close to another patch for our beloved Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. I’ve found full list of all improvements :-) so…
PATCH 1.2 Improvements:

Bug Fixes:
+ Kiss of Agony – This ability will now deal Corporeal Damage.
+ Ruthless Assault – This ability will now behave correctly when interrupted.
+ Agile Escape – This ability can no longer be used when rooted.
+ Kisses will no longer be able to activate off a thrown dagger.
+ Shadow Prowler – This ability will now always be interrupted when the player is attacked.
Balance Changes
+ Enfeebling Strike – This ability has had its damage contribution from stats reduced.
+ Kiss of Betrayal – This ability will now deal Corporeal Damage.
+ Pierce Armor – This ability has had its additional armor debuff removed. This has been replaced with a self buff that will increase your Weapon Skill.
+ Kiss of Death – This ability will now deal Corporeal Damage.
+ Masterful Treachery – This ability’s bonus to damage has been lowered.
+ Sharpened Edge – This ability has had its armor debuff removed. This has been replaced with a self buff that will deal damage back to your enemy whenever they block or parry your attacks.

+ Treacherous Assault – This ability has had its damage contribution from stats reduced.
+ Sacrifices Rewarded – This ability will now absorb more damage.

+ Vehement Blades – This ability has had its damage contribution from stats reduced.

Highlighted Bug Fixes

Pets Fixed, no longer run through walls/doors and can’t hit players who aren’t in line of sight (yeeesss no more miracles during keep defend/attack….)
+ When instructed to attack a target on the other side of a closed door, pets will no longer run through the door.
+ Pets will have a more accurate line of sight when trying to use abilities on their targets.

Debuffs wont last for AGES when your in a fortress fight.
+ Under heavy server load situations, buffs and debuffs will no longer last longer than they should.

Crowd Control Nerfed.
+ We have adjusted the way that the Disorient debuff will effect characters. Instead of increasing all ability cast times by a flat value, it will now increase cast times by a % of the total cast time of the spell. As a result, melee abilities and instant cast spells will no longer be affected by Disorient since their cast time is effectively 0 seconds. Specific abilities for each career affected by this change are noted below.
+ Immovable: Duration increased to 20 seconds.

Watch out for WE/WH when your next defending a keep, now they can get in through the doors whenever they want – ohh man i can’t wait to see keep attack :D this will be really cool!!!
+ Pick Lock: Fixed a bug that prevented this ability from functioning. (another bug…)
+ Bypass Defenses: Fixed a bug that prevented this ability from functioning correctly. (this ability was f….ed up all the time….)

No more missing out on gold loot bags because you didn’t get a res in time
+ The Keep loot timers have been extended to allow more time for players to reach the loot chest. ( Yeah thanks a lot – I’ve lot already many items in that way :/
